DEMOCRACY PILLOWS was founded in California with a laptop and a dream to bring sanity back to the pillow business, help our customers sleep soundly, and support organizations that fight for justice, equality, and democracy. Our goal is to sell pillows and other bedtime products that are super comfy and competitively priced. What organizations do you support? We donate 50% of our net, after-tax profits to organizations that help refugees, promote democracy in the USA, and advance economic justice. These organizations include the the International Rescue Committee (IRC), which is one of the leading organizations helping refugees around the world. IRC was founded at the call of Albert Einstein and receives an "A" grade from Charity Watch. You can learn more about IRC here: https://www.rescue.org. We also donate to Democracy Fund and Protect Democracy. These organizations seek to strengthen American democracy by building better democratic institutions and resisting challenges to our democratic form of governance.
What makes your pillows better? We select every product with your comfort in mind and only sell the most comfy products. We help you sleep well by doing good!
Is this for real? Yep. The products are real, comfy, and a share of the proceeds support efforts to make the world a more just and democratic place.
Is this political? We're non-partisan. We believe that humans should learn from their differences and help each other when they can.
